Nurturing the Spirit Succeeding Together Learning for Life

Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE)

PSHE encourages children to become healthy, responsible and independent member of society. We aim to develop self-esteem and self-confidence and the ability to make informed choices relating to personal and social issues. We teach children to have respect for others and help then to develop good relationships with their peers, adults in school and members of the wider community. We encourage children to be independent and responsible members of the school community and be positive and active members of a democratic society.

As this is such an important skill for the pupils to develop we provide continuous opportunities for the pupils to develop skills in:

  • Making and building relationships
  • Becoming self confident and self aware
  • Knowing what their own needs are and being sensitive to those of others
  • Becoming independent and managing their feelings and behaviour. This includes developing an understanding of the difference between what is right and wrong.
